1. Epoxy resin

Epoxy resin is a thermosetting resin formed by the condensation of epichlorohydrin and bisphenol A. It is widely used as the matrix resin of composite materials, especially in aviation composite materials.

Typically, epoxy resin is cured to form a network of three-dimensional polymers that envelop composite aggregates in the network. According to different curing temperatures, it can be divided into room temperature curing (20~30℃), medium temperature curing (50~130℃), high temperature curing (above 130℃), etc. Compared with high-temperature curing, medium-temperature curing has the advantages of low curing temperature, loose requirements on molds, small internal stress, and dimensional stability, and has broad development space.

2. Phenolic resin

Phenolic resin, as a matrix resin widely used in composite materials, is a thermosetting resin formed by the condensation of phenolic compounds (such as phenol) and aldehyde compounds (such as formaldehyde). The most typical and important phenolic resin is A polymer formed by the condensation of phenol and formaldehyde.

Phenolic resin is highly brittle and has low elongation, and the phenolic hydroxyl groups and methylene groups in its structure are easily oxidized. Among the existing modified phenolic resins, boron phenolic resin introduces B elements into the molecular structure of the phenolic resin, making the phenolic resin exhibit high oxygen index, low toxicity, low smoke and other characteristics. It is an ideal choice for rockets, aerospace, missiles, and nuclear power plants. It is one of the important materials urgently needed in fields such as automobile brake pads and so on.

3. Special resin matrix

In terms of special resin matrix, there are mainly bismaleimide resin, cyanate ester resin, benzoxazine resin, etc. These special resins have good heat resistance, flame retardancy, radiation resistance, wave transmittance, electrical insulation and mechanical properties. They are considered to be a type of thermosetting polymer matrix resin with broad development prospects, and are expected to become the leading brand of epoxy resins. Successor, widely used in aviation and aerospace.
